Welcome to Talk Union County’s Blog! This blog is hybrid project –part local news and events and part political/personal opinion blog. We are still in the process of forming TUC’s “blog identity,” and with luck, the voice that emerges will be a unique one that offers a blend of local news and a taste of local perspectives on topics that range from the international to those things happening in our own backyard.
Since rural Appalachia is underrepresented both online and in the blogosphere, it is our hope that in the process, we’ll help both locals and visitors from around the globe shatter some of the old stereotypes that too often define Southern Appalachia and East Tennessee.
